busted for paying someone under the table
I know of someone who owns a company with 4 stores and about 12 employees. 3 or 4 of those employees(who are illegals} are paid under the table which means neither of them are paying taxes.this has been going on for well over a year and this pisses me off. How can I bust this guy? who do I ?

Call Homeland Security office tipline
dont say anything about illegals. Tell them something more along the lines of suspected terrorist financing ties by paying people under the table. That will bring the troops coming. It wont free up a job for you though. Most likely it would break the business and cause his workers to be deported

I know I'm gonna regret
opening this pandoras box but... How exactly do you know they are illegals? Before you go blowing someone in and probably destroying their business, how can you be certain

Think about this
You may be the cause of legals losing their jobs

How so? If legal, no
problem. If illegal, still no problem....except for them

Well if it's proven that the guys paying them
off the books to avoid paying employee related expenses it's a problem for all of them. OP should keep in mind though that it's becoming more and more commonplace for employers to 'contract' people to work for them making it the responsibility of the worker to handle their taxes

Yeah, and the IRS has set up guidelines to
determine if the employer is using this label to avoid paying taxes for those employees

Alot of them are trying to dodge the bullet on
Obamas new health care reform bill. It's gonna be a real hardship for a lot of small business owners

Well, if .....
"avoid paying employee related expenses" such as disability insurance, UI, oasdi and medicare with-holding, they are already harming their employees

You'll get no argument from me.
I'm not saying it's right. I'm just saying it's becoming more common
